About the bikkie jar
Welcome to The Bikkie Jar… where things are baked fresh to order, flavours are fearless, and boring snacks simply don’t exist. Ever.
I’m Misty, the one-woman band behind it all.
Head baker, flavour creator, order packer, label sticker, wax stamper… and yes, professional taste tester (it’s a tough job, but someone’s got to do it).
Based in rural North Canterbury, this little business was born in January 2023 from what can only be described as a very innocent batch of Maple Walnut Shortbread… and a not-so-innocent idea that followed. One bake turned into many, and before long, The Bikkie Jar was officially a thing.
Now here’s the twist…
I actually trained as a chef in France back in 2011
But despite all the fancy training, I never truly found my groove in the industry… until this.
Turns out, my happy place isn’t in a restaurant kitchen… it’s right here, creating bold, indulgent, slightly over-the-top bikkies that people genuinely get excited about.
And if you’ve been around here a while, you’ll know…
I’m a complete flavour demon
If there’s a combo worth trying, I’m already three steps ahead, probably testing it, tweaking it, or loading it with extra chocolate just because I can.

I’m also keto myself (well… when I’m not deep in testing mode), which means one very

We deliver across both the North & South Islands of New Zealand.
Dispatch days are Monday &Tuesday to keep everything as fresh as possible when it lands at your door.
