Who makes all these delicious bikkies?

Every single shortbread is handcrafted by our ex-chef (that’s me!) right here in rural North Canterbury. Small-batch, big flavour, always made with love.

 

Where are you based?

We’re proudly New Zealand-owned and operated from our registered kitchen in North Canterbury — the land of fresh air, good butter, and better biscuits.

 

Do you have a physical shop?

Nope! We’re an online-only bakery — everything is baked to order and shipped straight to your door, nationwide.Are your products handmade?100 percent. No factory lines here — just a bowl, a spatula, and a lot of butter.

🍪Product & Ingredient FAQ's 

 

Do you offer gluten-free options?
We sure do — our No Added Gluten range (GF by ingredient) is baked separately using GF-friendly ingredients. Perfect for those avoiding gluten.

 

Do you have keto or low-carb treats?
Absolutely! Our Keto Range features low-carb, high-flavour shortbread made with almond flour, butter, and our secret blend sweetener. Our keto recipe creates crispy bikkies, no sad snacks here! 

 

Are your products suitable for vegetarians?
Yes — all our shortbread is vegetarian-friendly (though not vegan, because… butter 🧈).

 

Do you take custom flavour requests?
Sometimes! We love experimenting with new flavour combos. Keep an eye on our social media for flavour polls and limited-edition boxes but if you had an idea in mind for your next box of treats by all means reach out, we will always create something special for you if we are able to.

🎁 Gifting & Packaging FAQs

 

Is every box gift-wrapped?
You bet. Every single order comes beautifully wrapped with tissue inside, beautiful gift wrap outside and our signature wax-seal stamp — your seal of approval!  

 

Can I include a personalised message?

Yes — add your note in the provided box on each bikkie flavour page before you add to the cart and we’ll pop it on your gift box, no extra charge.

 

Do you send directly to the gift recipient?
Absolutely. Just enter their address at checkout and we’ll make sure it arrives wrapped, ready, and we never include an invoice in our packages, if there is more than one box of bikkies we add in a packaging note so we can let the recipient know which box contains which flavour but no $$ information is included. 

 

Do you offer corporate gifting?
We sure do! Perfect for client thank-yous or staff treats, Christmas time is a popular corporate time. Email us for further information.

Can you do smaller batches?

Unfortunately we don't offer smaller batches as it takes the same time to make it, bake it, wrap it and the shipping doesnt get any cheaper either so the cost would be so small it would not be an attractive option. 

🚚 Ordering & Delivery FAQs

 

How long does it take to receive my order?
We bake fresh to order, so dispatch is usually within a few days. (in most cases we dispatch the day after ordering)  but 1-3 days from ordering is always adhered to.  Unless your order has a dispatch date advertised as any pre-order options will have.

Do you deliver nationwide?
Yep! We deliver to most addresses around New Zealand via tracked courier with Pass the Parcel (occasionally NZ Post). Our advertised rates deliver to the North & South Islands only.  If you live or are having bikkies delivered to one of out outer islands please get in touch and I can provide you with a shipping quote.

 

Can I pre-order for Christmas or special occasions?
Definitely — tick the pre-order for Christmas box at checkout and we’ll make sure it’s dispatched with the festive batch.  For any other occasion we can absolutely take a future order for any full batch flavour, our mix boxes however cannot be ordered in advance.  Feel free to message me anytime for clarification.

How will I know when my order has shipped?
You’ll receive an email with tracking details as soon as your parcel heads out from Kitchen Central.

What payment options do you offer?
We accept all major cards, Afterpay, and PayPal — because life’s too short to wait for cookies.

 

Do you offer discounts or coupon codes?
Keep an eye on our emails and socials for flash sales and cheeky codes - you absolutely want to be a website member to receive any discounts too, sometimes member only offers head out to inboxes across our fine land. 

🧁 Storage & Shelf Life FAQs

 

How long do the bikkies last?
All our bikkies have a best before date of 1 month from baking date and all are only baked once ordered— though most people say they vanish in 4 days!

Can I freeze them?
Yes! Our Original Gourmet & No Added Gluten shortbread freezes beautifully. Just let it come to room temp before devouring. NOTE: Our Keto bikkies and S'mores are NOT suitable for freezing
